This position coordinates, prepares, reviews, and compiles specialized financial, medical, research and/or demographic information. This data is used to facilitate, analysis, management review the reporting requirements.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and analyzes data according to departmental or experimental protocols.
- Identifies and/or acquires data through library, patient medical records or computer data base searches.
- Designs and compiles special reports for analysis, management review, research purposes and/or reporting requirements.
- Performs data entry of target data, data cleaning and record keeping as needed.
- Processes and maintains confidential information regarding research study participants.
- Provides training for department specific system needs.
- May interview study subjects.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Demonstrated effective communication and human relation skills.
- The incumbent has the authority to resolve questions from department personnel or other internal customers.
- Challenges encountered by the incumbent include the ability to maintain an accurate, consistent, and timely data base reporting system that will enable report or research credibility and availability.
Qualifications:
Required
- Two years experience in data analysis, related research experience, or equivalency.

- Experience in computer based systems management.
