This position maintains a digital library of radiological images. Responds to internal and external requests for exam results and prepares images for doctor or patient requests. Provides oversight in regards to prioritization of Image Interpretations. Provides first line support for Imaging Informatics troubleshooting. Answers phones and resolves specific issues relevant to patient care internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Organizes daily workflow of images that are available for doctors and staff to review.
- Downloads images from other institutions into the PACS system and loads PACS images onto the Mammography system.
- Identify workflow opportunities to improve productivity.
- Manage Critical results communication for Radiologists.
- Prepares daily lists for all Mammography clinics and ensures prior images for Radiolgist.
- Provides helpdesk support to PACS, RIS and Powescribe. Troubleshoot technology issues as first line support.
- Performs general office duties such as answering phones, providing customer service and assisting radiologists and physicians.
- Appropriately documents HIPPA compliance.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Exhibit a working knowledge of Advanced Imaging Applications.
- Telephone and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DICOM, HL-7, and Application interface interaction with Enterprise systems
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to multitask.
- Working Knowledge of HIPPA regulations.
Qualifications:
Required
- One year of helpdesk support experience or equivalency.
